I really want to play rust
I have a 4 year old computer. I can probably spend about 600-700 maximum. I am going to college in 5months so probably wont play then. I have a gtx 1060 6gb Amd Fx 8350 and 8gbx1 of ram ddr3 1600mhz and ASRock N68-GS4 FX R2.0 Micro ATX AM3+ Motherboard.

On rust i play on 800x600( i dont know how i manage) i get 60fps and stutters. It takes forever to load up and join a server and if i tab out i crash.

Should i upgrade my system with an ssd 240gb and 16gb of ram 8x2 ddr3 1866mhz or just buy a new one?

Solution
Keep your current case. If you have a 1TB HDD, re use it. Just port the OS over to the SSD in the build below. What PSU do you have?

RUST recommends at least 10 GB of RAM for the minimum system requirements. 16 GB is the recommend for RUST. Try to add another 8GB RAM module of the same manufacture and model number to your system, and see if that improves your system performance before you drop more money in your system.
