Should I upgrade or just start anew?

Graphics: GeForce GTX 1050 Ti
Motherboard: Biostar TA970
Ram: 16GB
Cooler: COOLER MASTER Hyper 212
CPU: AMD FX 6300 Black edition 3.5 6-core
PSU: 850W, I forget the brand at the moment.

It's okay, but I'm trying to stream and be capable of running newer games.
I was thinking of upgrading the CPU, but I'm not sure what the best one is for my motherboard.
I would upgrade the motherboard too, but not sure if it's worth it.

What do you mean by a new core?
