Should i upgrade or wait for the new graphics cards?

So i heard about the new pascal and polaris cards, and i was about to upgrade my gtx 680 to a 970 or even a r9 390 but should i wait for the new cards or upgrade my gpu right now?

I mean the best answer is to always wait if possible. Something newer and better is always around the corner and it always drives what we have now down to be even cheaper.

The 680 is plenty for now and Pascal/Polaris are supposed to just around the corner...

The best answer in my opinion is not to wait. Get what you want now, if you keep waiting you will never get something, as new technology is always around the corner. Get what meets your needs and enjoy it until your needs arent met and you need to upgrade. Hope this helped!

While I agree with djreed in that there is something new always around the corner, this year there is something BIG around the corner, and that is going to be Pascal and Polaris, HBM2 VRAM and FinFet lithography are going to make the next gen cards much more powerful than the current cards. Wait for Pascal and/or Polaris, especially since you have a 680, a 680 is by no means a weak card.
