should i upgrade system or motherboard

I have a i7 2600k
14 gb ram ddr 3 1333mhz
240 gb ssd
3 x 1tb
P8q77-m pci express slot is x16 gen 1

Would the gtx 1060 6gb work well with this old setup or should i upgrade?
Some of my games lag and my gt 730
Is pretty much dead .
I dont have the 1060 yet

The 1060 should be a good match for your 2600k especially if you oc your processor a bit... Which that thing is amazing at

You officially own the last cpu Intel made that was actually a good overclocked. It was the last soldiered heat spreader until the 9*** series now, and they didn't bin the hell out of it like now.... Most will comfortably do 4.5 a lot will do 4.7-4.8

I cant overclock it right now stock cooler on it
And that cool to know didnt realize soilder hs made a different

Yes it makes a pretty big difference. The 2600k ocs better than the 3770k usually around 200mhz higher due to the soldier letting temps stay down.
