I would like to know which change would allow me to get better performance(Mainly use for games)

This is my computer information:
GPU: GeForce GTX 760
CPU: Intel Core i5-4460 CPU @ 3.20 GHz
Memory: 16 GB RAM
Current Resolution: 1920x1080, 60Hz
OS: Microsoft Windows 10 Home

The games I run are like Beamng.drive, Medieval Engineers, GTA V, Space Engineers, Minecraft(Highly Modded), etc.

Solution
get a new graphics card if you want higher FPS.

I know you have a NVidia card now but I highly recommend amd cards. ive built a lot of computers and never have I had a single card fail. so no worries there. also never seen a poor driver from either company that wasn't fixed within 1 or 2 months. once again no worries there.

I say go AMD because they continually improve their product while the NVidia cards for the most part stay dormant.

proof is here.

if you want to play on ultra settings in 1080P and get 60 fps go for a RX 480. by summer next year it will probably be on average 3% faster than the 1060 and it costs less...
What is causing the bottleneck is the question. No one is in a better position to judge than you, as you can monitor the stats. If your GPU is up at 99% and your CPU is lower, then you have your answer, and vice versa.

On paper, I'd say the GPU would be the one to upgrade though.

end of the day do what you want but that's my suggestion.
