Should I upgrade to DDR4 for a gaming focused build?

Hi!

As stated in the title, I'm looking to upgrade the memory of my gaming pc. At the moment I have 8 gbs of DDR3-1333 memory and I'm looking to upgrade it to 16 gb. However, my motherboard only supports up to DDR3-1600.

I've got a budget of about 700$ and I've been thinking of upgrading my processor to something like a ryzen 1600, which I've heard can really benefit from faster RAM. I'm just wondering if it'd be worth it to spend money on a DDR4 RAM kit.

This is my current build - https://pcpartpicker.com/list/9hfv9W

Thanks for the help!

Great screenshots.
CPU usage/temperature, gpu usage/temperature looks great. No bottle necking there.

In last screenshot you can see, that pagefile usage goes above the amount of physical ram on your pc.
So - your system would definitely benefit from more ram.

Well some games that I play say that I lack the memory to have a good gaming experience Just cause 3 is the most recent example.

My friend told me that the reason I might be lagging in some of the games we play is due to my memory and that I should look to upgrade it. However I didn't want to just take his word for it. Which is why i asked

You can use msi afterburner to monitor ram and pagefile usage.
You can use Resource Monitor to monitor ram usage also.

Launch MSI afterburner and your game, play until you encounter performance issues
and make a screenshot of Afterburner hardware monitoring window with graphs visible:
ram usage, pagefile usage, cpu usage/temperature, gpu usage/temperature, gpu memory usage, fps.
Post the screenshot.
