should i upgrade to Q8200 over the E5800?

so i a found a good deal for a core 2 quad q8200 for only 10$
is it worth it ?

i wanted to upgrade my cpu but my current mobo only support core 2 quad models and core 2 duo.

can i gain some extra performance with the q8200 or not ??

Well the problem is the Q8200 is only 2.33 while your E5800 is 3.2 for gaming the E5800 is probably faster but if you use applications that can use multicore then the q8200 would be better.If you could over close the q82 to 2.8 or higher then I would say go for it but you never know if you can or not.

what will make worse is the fact that my mobo doesnt support overclocking .. i looked into my advanced bios settings and i cant find the cpu overclocking

ah yeah then probably just best to say with what you got maybe look for a cheap Q8400 that would be worth upgrading too if you get one for around $20
