Question Should I upgrade to RX Vega 56, GTX 1660 Ti, or wait?

I plan to upgrade from my GTX 1060 to a more powerful card but I'm trying keep my spending low. The RX Vega and 1660 Ti are around the same price but the Vega is slightly better and has 8gb vram instead of 6gb. I'm just not versed enough in graphics card to know if Nvdia is more optimised for more games and has less of a chance to mess up a program or not, since I've only used Nvdia. Of course there is the idea that maybe I should wait a little longer for more of a price drop on better cards or wait for better mid range cards to come out.

If you can WAIT for few more weeks, then it would be much better. AMD NAVI GPUs and Nvidia's Super series are just around the corner as well. It would be a wise decision to wait a bit more, IMO.

Are you saying that I should get those or that because of those coming out there will be a price drop for the GTX 1660TI and Vega 56?

I'm not sure about any PRICE drop on the current older GEN of GPUs, but I was suggesting you to wait for the next-gen video cards, IF POSSIBLE.

I can wait but I still have no idea what gpu to get.
