thinking to upgrade to ryzen 5 1400x from my 3570k oc'ed @4.2 ghz will it be a good upgrade & if yes then how much preformence gain ?? i mainly do gaming

Nobody knows.
3570K is still a very capable cpu for gaming.
My guess is that such an upgrade will not be worth it.
Wait for benchmarks which will be coming out soon.

hmm as i only play in 1080p my i5 3570k & 390 still handling every game on max settings giving more than 50 fps in every games & yup i think i should wait for their benchmark..btw they r launching on 28th feb right ?

If you want to try a test, lower your graphics resolution and settings.
Play YOUR games. If you get more fps, it indicates that your cpu is strong enough to run a stronger graphics card.

You do, unless your cpu is the bottleneck.
If your cpu is your limitation, then your fps will remain mostly the same at lowered settings.

Fast action games are usually graphics limited.

Strategy, sims and mmo games will tend to be cpu limited

That tells me that your graphics card is more of a limitation than your cpu.

You might want to look into upgrading that 390.
Make it a good jump to something like a GTX1070.
