Should I Upgrade To SSD From HDD?

Hey Guys.
I've using My HDD WD Green 500GB since 2012. Since my i3 3210 ivy bridge.

I think this harddrive is getting old, and now its look very slow. Even when they spinning I could hear it. But its still work.

I found strange shuttering while gaming, deep freeze for a sec or couple of sec while playing Ghost Recon Wildlands. Then its running very fast. The average is running around 70 to 80 FPS. With High and Very High Setting.

What do you think the best mid range SSD for gaming? Or equals.. Read and write.

Is there any improvement FPS while playing if I upgrade it?

My Rig now is.
I7 6700k (stock speed).
EVGA 1060 3gb. oc to 2000Hz.
16 Gb corsair LPX vengeance. (stock speed)
Gigabyte H110M-Gaming 3
HDD WD GREEN 500GB.(the old one).
HDD seagate 500GB.(new one).

I still plan for build it with marathon mode. Upgrade it one by one. After using this SSD.

Reinstalling the OS would be the safest thing to do, on the SSD of course.

Keep the HDD for bulk storage if its still usable...

Sounds like that HDD is definitely close to dying - I would back up whatever data on that drive ASAP.

As for SSDs, Newegg has plenty of deals on 240gb SSDs for $70-80, which is a pretty massive improvement all around (roughly 5x more speed on a SATA SSD). Look at Tomshardware's list of best SSDs, there's a pretty decent list there.

You should be driving to the store to buy a 500GB SSD right now!
If you want to clone a 500GB HDD, the target must be 500GB or bigger. If the SSD is 480GB (typical) you are going to have to resize the HDD partition to be smaller than the target. I prefer to use EaseUS Partition Master for disk operations.
I use my retired drives (I have a 2012 WD Green also) as 2nd or 3rd redundant backups. If they are only used rarely, they aren't wearing out.

Samsung 850 EVO or WD Blue 3D or Intel 600p or Crucial MX300 are good and around $150.

There is no FPS gain from a SSD. However the game will launch quicker and have less of a pause as each level loads.
You will mostly notice that Windows runs much faster. No more click and wait, it's click and Pop! Things happen instantly.

I think I'm gonna buy some SSD, and Backup All The Data From the OLD HDD WD GREEN.
Fresh Install Windows, and have a good time.
