Should I upgrade to the new intel cpus?

I have a intel i5-7600k and I plan on moving up to 4k for my gaming rig. Would I be okay sticking with my current cpu? I kinda figure I would be because at that resolution it's more about the graphics card,

No real reason to upgrade unless you're going to utilize more than 4 cores. Most games still don't use more than 4, and the i5 7600k is still a beast when it comes to gaming, so unless you're planning to do some streaming or editing there's no point to upgrading.

At 4K you're going to be more GPU bound, so a CPU upgrade isn't going to benefit you that much, especially if you're running anything less than a GTX 1080Ti. If you were pursuing 144Hz gaming, then a CPU upgrade would be more beneficial.
