I currently have a Ryzen 3 1300x (At stock clocks because the XFR seems to do better then my manual overclocking) and have recently started playing a lot of more cpu intensive games that are really struggling, which has been further pushed by my new RX 570. In all of your opinions, for battlefield one, will I notice a major difference? I am very tech savvy and experienced, but want to hear some others opinions for everything I do. Also, should I consider a new set of ram with higher speeds? It wasn’t a priority with the lower end cpu, but why hold back my new one.

Specs:
2x 4gb 2133 ddr4 (duh)
Rx 570
R3 1300x
Asrock AB350m
EVGA 500w bq bronze psu
1tb hdd
120gb ssd

I kind of agree. AMD will likely be providing information about their upcoming 7nm 3000-series CPUs within the next couple weeks. It might be months before they actually come out, but chances are that they will be a decent improvement over the current models, probably offering higher clocks, and possibly more cores at a given price point.

Are your RAM sticks actually rated at 2133, or have you just not enabled faster timings in the BIOS? Have you tried overclocking the RAM at all?

My ram is actually rated at 2133, no heat spreader or anything... I bought it when ddr4 was way overpriced and it’s all I could afford. And also, oh my gosh... it’s already January. I honestly completely forgot that CES is already coming up so soon! If the leaks have any truth, we’ll be looking at a major jump.
