should I upgrade to this monitor?

I currently have this HP 2311x, bought on craiglist for $100, now will sell it for 100$, will have some one pick it up tomorrow.

I just purchased this ASUS PA248Q 24-Inch LED-Lit Super-IPS Professional Graphics Monitor for $260 AR.

The question is, is it worth the upgrade? would I see a big difference during gaming (bf3, dota 2, starcraft 2) or watching video clip?

You should yes, IPS monitors are higher quality than your typical generic(TFT PANEL) monitor. Plus it's also 1200 which is swell.
