im wanting others opinions on if i should upgrade from windows 7 home 64 bit to windows 10? the only two reasons i would even consider the upgrade is the windows 10 upgrade is free and of course direct x 12 i also heard of major issues using amd graphics cards with windows 10 is this true?

if you decide to upgrade, please first make sure your hardware(printers, etc) are compatible with windows 10. I have a pc running windows 7, that I won't upgrade to windows 10.because the all in One printer isn't compatible with windows 10.

Yes its true I see so many posts on this site about problems with Windows 10. Not a lot of games are fully taking advantage of DX12 right now, so I would hold off until you really need it. For example I MIGHT get windows 10 for Quantum Break, but not anytime soon. If it aint broke dont fix it, keep windows 7 and enjoy it until you NEED windows 10 for something.

There's no good reasons for or against the upgrade right now. A specific reason would be that the free offer is about to expire, and that's a ways off.

You've offered no additional information like what hardware and accessories you have, or what exactly you use the computer for (like listing every installed program that's used regularly) so there's no way to be any more specific and try to be accurate.

When (If) you do upgrade, thorough data backup, install as an upgrade to Win 7, ensure its licensed successfully, and then either run with it, or go a step further and do a fresh install of Win 10, and then enjoy.

I've been using it for a few months now. I went from 7 to 8.1 and now Win 10. It was a little rocky in the beginning with nvidia driver issues, but I think that was more a hardware issue and an unforgiving driver than solely a Win 10 issue. On the surface, there's an obvious change, Task Manager is great, but under the hood, I can't tell any difference, so I'm content.
