Should I upgrade?

Hello, I currently have an i7-3770 which has worked beautifully during the time I've had it. I am getting a MSI GTX 980 4gb, and was wondering if it would be worth it to upgrade the CPU to the 4790k, or one of the i7-58xx? I play a lot of games, GTA, ARMA, stuff like that. I do practically no editing or stuff that would actually require me to have a beast CPU (outside of gaming) Thanks for taking the time to look at this. Hope to hear back from people soon.

Solution
At the rate consumer-level CPUs have been improving for the past five years and software has mostly not scaled with it, the i7-3770 likely has 5-7 more years left on it as a viable gaming CPU.

There are still tons of people with i5-2xxx who still have no interest in upgrading due to how slow progress on fundamental performance has become - with Broadwell, performance has even gotten worse in some CPU benchmarks and based on leaked benchmarks, it seems Skylake does not fare much better.
