Should i upgrade?

I have a i7-4770 and buying a MSI Z87-G45, my friends and i were arguing that waiting and then building a pc is more worth it with new parts. My argument is that i dont be needing a new cpu becasue my CPU can handle most games and my 1070 is not being bottleneck, i wouldnt need to waste money on a whole new cpu, ram and motherboard. Should i wait it out and build a whole new system? or should i just keep what i have now?

If it satisfies your need then its okay. Afterall its your PC and your money. The 4770 is still a capable cpu and can handle many tasks thrown at it.

If the PC doesn't what you want it to do, then why spend a lot more money on a totally new system? Save your money. In a few years, when there are games that don't run well on this PC, then do an upgrade.
