Question Should I upgrade?

I have an i7-4790, a cheap and locked motherboard and 8 GB of DDR3 RAM and I need to know if I should upgrade to a Ryzen 5 1600, an ASUS Prime B350-Plus and 8 GB of DDR4 RAM running at 2666 MHz, knowing the full upgrade would cost around 50 € (a good deal). I wouldn't take advantage of the Ryzen's goods as I won't be streaming or creating content and I will be playing light games like CS:GO, Apex Legends and some others. I'm asking this because the Haswell platform will loose its value and, since I got a huge bargain with AMD's platform, I would problably profit when selling it. What do you think? Thank you!

If you must go for ram while on Ryzen, you should aim for DDR4-3200MHz dual channel kits. Anything you drop on your Haswell build is moot. Best go for a new build.

I guess I'll just sell the Haswell system and buy those deals... Although I will not notice a difference, it will certainly be more future proof and be much more valuable in the future, since 4/4 cores/threads is already struggling in some games.
