Should i upgrade?

Currently i have a GIGABYTE GA-965P-DS3 LGA 775 Intel P965 Express ATX Intel Motherboard from a year back. I run it with a c2d e6400 , 4 gigs of ddr2 pc6400, geforce 8800gt, 580 watt hiper psu... I'll be upgrading to the new cheaper quads coming out in january. So my question is if I should upgrade to a better mobo out there, is there any difference really besides the number of pcie slots they contain and what not? Or can a mobo really bottleneck performance. Thanks !

Also i run dual boot with Win XP SP2 32 bit and Vista ultimate 64-bit.

What is the revision of your motherboard ? because REV 3.3 will support 1333MHZ CPUs , also i suggest u to OC your E6400, and wait for new quads to come out and then get a new motherboard

Can i OC my e6400 on stock cooler? Would it really make a difference and I think i would upgrade the mobo once i get the quad regardless.
