Hi,
I have a laptop that has a 25 gb SSD in it and 1 tb hdd!
When it came the guy said that the SSD is used for booting and that's why windows didn't detect it! I know it's there because the bios detects it! Now I am reinstalling windows and I have an option to put windows in the SSD or on the HDD! I know SSDs are fast and better for the OS but is the size fine and is there something else I will be sacrificing by doing this?

I'm hoping that was a typo and you meant 250GB. if so a 250 would be great for windows and programs.
as stated 25GB is smaller than many USB thumb drives and is not very useful unless you have the software to turn it into an SSC (Solid state Cache)

Sounds more like you had Intel RST and set the bios from raid to ahci, which is why the drive is showing up.

And no I would not use the 25gb ssd to put windows on it, it's too small. Either reuse as INTEL RST or get a bigger ssd (and no with a correct working Intel RST the drive will not be visible in windows).
