Hello, this is a PC/TV question im hoping it's all right.

Im buying a TV (LG 49UF640V)
Surround system (Yamaha HTR-3068 + SRP 2.5 Black) 5.1.

So ill be using both the TV for netflix and such and the PC for extensive operations, high quality sound is at high value.

Option 1.

Can i use 2 HDMI cables from the PC->TV->Receiver?
This seems to be the most practical one, since i only need 2 cables combined.

Option 2.

Should i use a seperate HDMI cable to the receiver and another HDMI to the TV for the picture?
So this will be 1 HDMI from PC to Receiver, 1 HDMI from PC to TV, 1 Optical cable from TV to receiver.

In doubt is because i fear the sound going through the TV will compromise the quality.

I wanna be able to switch from the TV "channel" to the PC "channel" that should not be a problem but it's the sound that's the question.

I looked some things up, apperently the receiver works like a hub, which will help alot. Consider this thread solved.
