I bought a type c ported monitor for my laptop and configured it works via 2 type c ports on the board either igpu or dgpu which is awesome cuz at first I thought I was stuck using only one because had no idea the type c ports were configured independently. Just trying to get a second opinion on what I should use it for.. It's less powerful being only 60hz compared to my laptop being 165hz so I won't ever be gaming on it directly so I figured I might want to use my Igpu to run it. Any reasons I shouldn't? Just trying to get a second opinion..

G16 zephyrus asus 4060 2023 i7 13620h. The secondary monitor is just a zenscreen. Very simple 1080 monitor But, I feel like plugging it into the dgpu is redundant..

edit: before anyone asks why I got a type c monitor I went for an hdmi 2.2 because my laptop supports gsync through it but microcenter wanted a bare minimum $559 for something compatible that way, which would have been hdmi only. lol

If it works as you describe, I would use the integrated for the second monitor. A second monitor would costs you some performance in games if both are running from the same dgpu.
Thats what I figured but I also think I kinda wasted money on a secondary monitor because either way its gunna use extra power consumption ect. It's one of those no power plug monitors it gets the power from the type c cable too. And I usually play in optimus mode which uses both gpus to get it to run in a window on the main screen. If I ever do upgrade to anything I will probably buy a better monitor with a power plug and use it as the main and only monitor dedicated to the gpu to play videogames on.
