I have a ASUS Vivobook 15 X512FL Notebook. I am planning to upgrade my laptop with a new 8 GB RAM stick with a inbuilt 8 Gb RAM.

System Manufacturer: ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC.
System Model: VivoBook_ASUSLaptop X512FL_X512FL
BIOS: X512FL.303 (type: UEFI)
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-8565U CPU @ 1.80GHz (8 CPUs), ~2.0GHz
Memory: 8192MB RAM

Memory Specs

Vendor : Samsung
Part no : M471A1K44BM0-CRC

I was confused between These

Please Suggest me a proper RAM

geofelt likely has the best plan, if you have 8GB of that exact ram and can't remove it (you said built in? confused there if you can upgrade), I def suggest you get another 8GB, same exact kind

If your removing that ram, go with geofelt's suggestion. If you mismatch speeds you always get the lower of the two speeds no matter what...and if your going to use the same speed and size (GB) you mine as well get the same brand, because in rare cases that can also affect performance.

Big Question: Do you intend to keep the original ram in the laptop? If so, get matching sticks, if not, go the other route.

Hope that helps.
