Should I use the tight fitting Hyper 212 Evo cooler?

I had recently finished building my first computer and while it runs great, I had never considered noise as an aspect. Inexperience reigns supreme once again and I am left with a computer that sounds like a jet engine.

After digging around, I have come to the conclusion that I would be best off buying a better CPU cooler (note, I currently have the stock cooler for the Phenom II X4 965) and it seems like my best option would be the Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo. One thing that concerns me though is the fit of the cooler. There are people claiming that the evo will fit in my case and I have done measurements myself but the fit seems to be quite tight and I'm afraid it will block airflow around my case (not to mention it also blocks one of the side vents and won't be very sightly).

Despite all this, would I still be better off purchasing the evo or do I have better options for around the same price range?

What case do you have? I run those coolers in the workstations I build (silverstone ft03) no problem. It is a pretty big cooler, but as long as the case door still fits without touching, it should be fine. Those are the best coolers I have run for the price by the way.
