Hi, my goal is to get ethernet upstairs as my FiOS router is downstairs.
I have a coax input on the wall in my room.

Should I use the Verizon FiOS Network extender or some other brand like this one?

I believe they are both MoCa 2.0

I don't really care for extending the WiFi signal. I just need ethernet speeds.
Are the only differences the price and that the TiVo Bridge only has 1 ethernet port?

I don't know what they mean by "450 Mbps bi-directional combined" for the TiVo Bridge.

On the FiOS Network Extender it says:
Ethernet IEEE 802.3/802.3u/802.3ab 10/100/1000
Base -T

How much faster does that make the Verizon product?

I have not had FIOS service since they went to 2.0 based equipment so all my personal experience is based on 1.1. Moca was really dead for many years and only lately do you see this newer stuff.

Moca 2.0 has 2 variations. Bonded and not bonded. I suspect the tivo box is only using a single channel and therefore getting 1/2 the speed of a bonded connection. It appear the FIOS box uses the bonded version of moca 2.0. So in theory at least the Verizon device should be twice as fast. If you purchased a actiontec adapter that uses bonded moca it would run the same as the verizon.

It may or may not make any difference since none of these devices can go faster than the internet connection you pay verizon for. Years ago when I had fios I think I got 150m up/down which was really fast compared to any other ISP.
