Should I wait for the 11 series cards or get this 1070?

There's a refurb dual fan asus 1070 8gb OC on sale for about 300 USD right now at my local store. That's the best deal i've seen in a while. I need a new GPU and I was going to get a 1060 6gb or 580 8gb but then I decided to wait a bit for the 11 series cards and get one of those or a 10 series being cheaper. Should I get the 1070 OC now or wait?

The 1070 is not a cheap one, it's a full size dual fan card, valued at probably $450 new.

I run at the equivalent of 1440P for games that support 3 screens, or 1050x1680 for games that don't.

Hm, tough call. I mean, a new one goes for $400, but that's with the full 3 year warranty. I'd personally be hesitant.

Less would be an improvement - I tend to be a bit risk-averse myself. Is the warranty provided by the seller, or by Asus?

If by the seller, then does Asus warrant the refurbished card for longer than that? I'm assuming that Asus is who did the refurbishing.

It's warranted by and refurbished by the company, not ASUS. By what I see they do quite of bit of electronics refurbs, and at least one graphics card every other day.

I can't say I have any experience in buying a refurbished, so, I couldn't really say.
