Should I wait for the 3rd gen Ryzen or go for the first one, considering I am for sure going to use the MSI GTX 1060 3gb Gaming X graphics card? I think it's a bit of an overkill but I should really ask. And If I should not wait, which Ryzen should I buy that best suits my graphics card?

Solution
Honestly for a lower budget I'd snag this (went by your 2x USD).

Leagues better then your current parts and will give you a better upgrade path.

Depends on price, if you can get a Ryzen 1600 for cheap (used?) I'd pair that with a good B450 motherboard and 16gb (2x8gb) of DDR4 @3200mhz. Then when the 3rd gen is released and if it's a worthwhile upgrade for you then make the upgrade (be sure to update the motherboard BIOS to accept the 3rd gen).

You see, I haven't yet purchased my parts, though I am planning on using the MSI 1060 3gb Gaming X, a B450M PRO4 motherboard and a Ryzen 1600X and probably 8gb of ram because a friend of mine always tells me I wouldn't need more than 8 gb of ddr4 3000mhz ram, though I'm not sure and I'd like to ask if that's the case, as well as how many W of PSU would I need for such build

Well I don't really have a budget but I wouldn't like to go more than 600-700$ and I am Bulgarian, thank you for helping me,btw. Currency here is double the american one and I am 14 so i don't work and I barely have a way to earn money. I have saved about 150$ for now and the cheaper - the better for me but quality is just as important.

The ones I use are:
ATi Radeon 5670 HD 1 gb (Graphics card)
Intel Xeon E5450 (CPU)
ASUSTeK Computer INC. P5E-VM SE (motherboard)
4x2gb ddr2 RAM 333mhz (RAM)
Windows 10 - 64 bit

The ones I'd love to have
GTX 1060 3gb/6gb Gaming X (Graphics card)
Ryzen 5 2600 (CPU)
ASROCK B450M PRO4 (Motherboard)
Kingston HyperX Predator 2x8/2x4gb 3000mhz (RAM)

If you think anything from the above isn't good (for the price or overall) I really need help from someone who understands!

If you can afford those potential upgrades then go for it but I would try to avoid the 1060 3gb as the RX 570/580 are a much better GPU for the price (at least vram wise with the 570). Also you need to check your PSU, if it's outdated I would not get a newer GPU without replacing it.

If you could squeeze in enough for a 580 this build would have more longevity. I like it.

Your welcome! Pricing may be a bit different so if it needs to be a different B450 motherboard or different memory then that would be fine although try to get a 3000/3200 kit as Ryzen performs noticeably better with it (can be up to a 20 FPS difference from 2133 DDR4).
