I'm planning on upgrade to a new monitor soon (the Acer predator x34) and I was planning on getting a gtx 980ti for sure I instead wait for a price drop with the monitor and see what comes of the nvidia pascal gpus next year? Also by the way I'm using a gtx 970 if that matters.

Well, since you have the 970 i guess maxing out games 1080p wont be a problem for you until next year. Why not wait if that is what you want?

Yeah I figure I should wait my only problem is that I super impatience. But I'll find something to pull me away from that stuff for a little bit.

Wait for both your current setup is better then most you'll feel much better about your build if you wait. Plus maybe you'll save up some more and get the next years titan

Most likely, I doubt they'd release a new chip and not release an enthusiast level card.

Since you already have 970 right now probably better wait. And the next titan probably will be true successor to the original titan/titan black. But we might not going to see them until 2017 time frame.

I assure you your processor wont bottleneck.

You have to have like a 2 dual core processor clocked at 1.8ghz to ever actually encounter a true to form bottleneck. But if you mean the i5 4690k will stop the titan from getting max frames, that would happen in very few games and at the cost of a maximum 2-3 frames when compared to say an i7 4790k.
