I am building my first pc, and i was planning on using dual 980 ti's from evga. They are the reference model ones, not the custom cooler ones. I was wondering if you thought that i should water cool them or if i should leave them be. Keep in mind that i am talking about this strictly from a performance perspective, not from a looks perspective. Is there reeally that much of a tangible benifit to watercooling them?

Solution
if you have the budget to water cool then do it, as that will give you enough cooling, with a 360 rad in the top if you just do the GPU's, but that will get expensive fast, Ive not used one but corsair make this http://www.corsair.com/en-gb/hydro-series-hg10-n980-gpu-liquid-cooling-bracket which you add in one of their CPU coolers, do some research into those if you want to do them, or get an aftermarket cooler style, finally you can see how they go to start with and fiddle later if you need to.
if you fill all the fan slots you might be ok, but the reference models will throttle as they tend to hit the "max" temp they like to run at when gaming, how much will depend on your cooling setup and where the cards are placed, try to avoid putting them right next to each other, as this effects cooling.

So what do you suggest i do to make it perform at its best
