Hi Guys,

I have 2 x Rog Gtx 780 Ti Matrix Platinum.
I run them at stock speed and It never thermal throttle.

But I always need to upgrade my computer and I was thinking for a custom watercooling loop to cool my GPUs in order to have better cooling performance, less noise and better Overclocking potential.

But I know that those GPUs are quite old, so I don't know if I should invest in watercooling.

So my question is : Is it better to watercool my GPUs in order to Overclock them or should I upgrade my GPU to a more recent one.

Thank you guys for your help !

As above, it's the vram usage in a lot of games lately that made me switch out 2 x 980's for a single 1080ti.

Plus, support for sli is just an afterthought for a lot of studios lately and I had enough of not being able to fully appreciate the sli setup.

As far as how a 1080ti compares to an sli setup... my strix 1080ti performs 24% better than my 2 x 980's did in 3dmark
I would say, go for it, if you'd like to undertake this build as a rebuild/revamping project and ofc this should allow you to see some 40 C drops on your cards. You would need to go through the watercooling sticky first to bring yourself up to speed.

Regarding my budget,
Either I buy the Strix 1080 from Asus (Around 750 Eur) or I go for watercooling (Approx 400 Eur) : EK is selling their last Gtx 780 Waterblock at 50 Eur each.

I will be honest, I bought this SLI a little bit blindy and it is really hard to find benchmark who compare this SLI to today's GPUs. So I don't really now the potential of these cards. Do you think I can run games for a couple of years ?
