hi, i really want to make a custom watercooling loop 'CPU to start with' so my system will get lower temps, quieter, 'future proof' and overclock. I have a rough idea of what to do but don't know if I should upgrade some hardware first or do it now. all help is appreciated.

Specs
CPU: AMD FX 6300 black
GPU: sapphire 270x dualX OC
MOBO: Gigabyte GA-970A-D3P

Solution
Yeah, no.
I would not recommend going "cheap" on custom watercooling. Its like buying a sports car and spray painting it with racing strips because it makes it faster.

You either get a 212 EVO, a large air/AIO cooler, or spend a reasonable amount on a custom loop.

Note this is all under the prerequisite that you have hardware that deserves liquid cooling.
Your asking for an impossible answer given the tiny amount of data you gave.. you didn't list the case model or how many fans you have or what brand I mean c mon..

Usually a water cooling loop is an expensive non-essential

You can get all the performance you will ever need out of the FX 6300 with a simple air cooler costing a fraction as much .
You might even save so much you could afford a better graphics card , or a better processor

go with outlanders answer.. " I have a rough idea of what to do but don't know if I should upgrade some hardware first or do it now"

If you get powerful enough stuff.. sure maybe.. but if you leave it as is.. see above.

I would only look into water cooling if you have high end equipment running, something like a 4790k and SLI 980s. Even then its a bit expensive for not much improvements.

For your setup, grab something like the 212 EVO or NH-d14/15 or similar and OC using that, you will get similar performance at a fraction of the cost. Its not worth spending hundreds of dollars on a custom loop for a hundred dollar CPU. It wont futureproof it, if such a thing existed.
Closed loop coolers are loud and perform the same as many large air coolers.

he has a few that are under 200$ but this is CUSTOM loop not a heatsink lol.. depends on what you consider cheap.. 120$ on a custom loop on a good pc is not bad at all.. but ye its always going to be basically above 100$

if you want super cheap start at heatsink then next would be closed water systems then finally customs
