Should my cooler nuts have a rubber standoff?

I'm installing a cooler master nepton 240m onto a z97 gaming 5 motherboard. The nuts for the cooler on the top side of the motherboard will be in direct contact with the mobo. Should there be a rubber standoff? The cooler did not come with any.

Solved: Just noticed there is rubber on the nuts already.
