So I've had my PC for about 4-5 years now and it's gotten so slow it's hard to play anything I used to play just fine. I think my hard drive is to blame but I don't know enough about computers to know for sure. If anyone can help me figure out this problem I'd appreciate it very much.

The FPS I get in the games I play are as follow

GTA V: 40-ish on all low but the game is unplayable when I drive into the city - textures don't load fast and I constantly lag spike

Dead by Daylight: 60 when I close everything else on my computer <--- also a very low graphics config

Overwatch: 60 average w/ lag spikes on high graphics

CS:GO: 70 fps on all low

Specs:

ProcessorIntel(R) Core(TM) i5-7400 CPU @ 3.00GHz
Video CardNVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 3GB
Operating SystemWindows 10
RAM8.0 GB

Yeah drive is going bad replace it. With that in mind do not clone the drive when you get a new one because you could pass broken data over. Start with a fresh copy of windows 10/11
