should my power supply fan be up or down.

i just installed a new computer but i was woundering if the fan should be up or down thanks

if you have a vent under the mounts for the PSU then it doesn't really matter, although having the fan facing into the case helps remove hot air coming out of GPU heat sink, so having it that way helps the system run a little cooler, also having it face out of the case if its at the bottom of the case means that it can suck in any crap off of your floor.

i usually install them so that:

1 - i can read the label with the p/n and specs when i take off the side cover
2 - the cable management makes sense for me, especially modular plugs
3 - if i use a right-angle AC power cord, it's exiting in the preferred direction
4 - if i need to use the power switch, it's more accessible one way than the other
5 - if the fan is pulling through bottom of case, install thin filter sheet if case doesn't have one to begin with

mine is facing in to pull the heat out of my second GPU, and I have always had it that way, so I would say facing in, plus it means you don't have to buy extra filters

you will be fine then, if you ever go for a multi GPU system I suggest to swap it around so that the fan pulls air away from the GPU heat sink.
