I'm looking to increase RAM capacity. I have 2 8gb sticks and can get 2 more sticks. Would it be better to buy the same exact RAM or should I get something better? For example, my 2 sticks are DDR4 3000Mhz. Should I get DDR4 3200Mhz or 3400Mhz, etc?

Check the motherboard's memory specifications and go online to seek confirmation accordingly.

Two key considerations: 1) the specs on the physical RAM modules and 2) the allowed RAM configurations permitted on the motherboard.

You can add faster RAM but the system will only perform at the speed of the slowest RAM modules.

Memory is guaranteed in the form sold. Use of identical, exact match, same thing have no guarantee to be compatible with your existing memory. It may increase your chances of memory working together over the use of random modules.

You should buy a single kit and sell your old memory.
