Should upgrade? - FX to Ryzen -

Hello. Now I have this configuration: Fx-8350 (stock cooler and ghz). Gigabyte 970 ds3p. 8Gb Ram DDR3 1600mhz. MSI R9 380 4GB. SSD and HDD. PSU: Seasonic 620W 80+ modular

My main plan is to upgrade to: Ryzen 5 2600. Gtx 1060/ Rx580/ Gtx 1070. 16GB ram 2666 mhz. An x370/470 mobo. Same PSU.

The main question is that I'll have a big change or not so much.
PS: Make the purchase in November for the Black Friday

How do you feel the performance is currently? What are you trying to improve, specifically?

While Ryzen outperforms FX chips in every task..... an 8350 is still reasonably capable.
I wouldn't recommend anybody go out and buy one in 2018, but if you already own it..... I'd probably continue with it unless there's a specific issue you're trying to address.

As for the upgrade....
1. CPU + MB, probably a good call - but as above, depends on your expectations.
2. RAM. You really want to be picking up 3000MHz+ for a Ryzen platform. 2666MHz is "ok", but for the few *insert currency here* more, opting for 3000MHz or greater from the outset makes the most sense.
3. Your proposed GPU upgrades of a 1060 or 580 aren't huge upgrades over a 970 (in some cases, they're worse). 1070 absolute minimum IMO.... but I'd be more inclined to lean towards a 1070TI.


As for the purchase date, it's too early to be planning for BF/CM.
Not only that, unless new GPUs launch in the meantime (they might), you're looking at 100% "current" generation stuff -- that stuff doesn't go on sale on BF/CM.

BF/CM is used to clear out older inventory, or bulk/commodity stuff, like HDDs/SSDs etc.

I need a "Do everything pc" I use 3d rendering, software that consume more GPU than CPU. Also gaming and large amount of photo editing on lightroom.

The Fx-8350 is still a capable CPU but is starting to get a little dated. For the current price the Ryzen 5 2600would be a good upgrade, I haven't looked at the charts lately between the two CPU's, but id bet the 2600 is considerbily faster than the FX 8350

It's better the Ryzen than the FX around 3k points in general benchmarks. Another option is i7 8700 (non K) $100 more than the Ryzen 5.
