[SOLVED] Should you wait until next generation before buying a new gaming PC?

The next generation of gaming is coming soon (around holiday season). Is it better to wait until then to buy a desktop gaming PC? Will hardware around that time be a lot better and more capable of handling all the new technologies?

You should buy/build a system when you need it, you have the money for it, and all the parts you want are at a price you wish to pay.

Waiting is a fools game...there is ALWAYS something new on the horizon.

you can wait until thanksgiving specials wich are popular in the USA (if you live there). At this point a new generation of GPU should be available, maybe new cpus too.

They would be costly, but the current generation of GPUs / CPUs we have now should see price drops at that time.

Huh?!? The new consoles will come out around christmas as well as new laptops,desktop CPUs usually come out in the second quarter of a year.
