Shouldn't two identical monitors produce the same picture?

I finally got a dual screen setup with two identical monitors. 2x ASUS VH236H 1080p monitors.

On the older monitor(which is around a year old) the blue color seems bit more washed out. On the new monitor it is more vibrant.

Also, this could be my imagination but I think the black levels are slightly darker and the whites definitely are whiter on the new one also.

Checked the settings and both monitors have the same factory default settings(as far as I could tell).

Solution
There is alway some minor variations with the LCD panel itself especially if Asus obtains the LCD panels from more than one source.

The only thing I can tell you is to set up one of your LCD panels to your liking, then try to replicate it on the other.
