Shouldn't using the front headphone jack disable the back one?

Hi guys
I have recently bought the Gigabyite G1 Gaming Z170X Gaming 7 board.
It comes with dedicated Creative quad core sound processor and 5.1 channels on the back.

Usually, I have large stereo speakers connected to the headphones jack via normal 3.5mm cable (or is this not the best choice to connect them to the headphones out ?) , and occasionally I use the headphones when gaming, and of course I plug the headphones via the headphones jack located on the front panel of the Coolermaster CM693 case.
The problem is that I must disconnect the speakers cable from the rear panel , otherwise the sound would still come out of the speakers (beside the headphones) if I kept them connected.

I checked Creative's software: there is a switch that switches between headphones and speakers. If I set it on SPEAKERS, the sound will come out of the speakers only (with the headphones still connected via front panel) - which is logical ; But if I switch to headphones, the sound would come out of both the speakers and the headphones.

Invalid solutions:
- Windows 10 sound controls only show one playback device.
- Reaching behind the PC to disconnect the speakers every time is frustrating.
- And my stereo speakers (Microlab FC330, which are the best-sounding speakers and subwoofer I've ever owned) have the volume and power switches located on the sub unit which is sitting on the floor far from my reach. So it's very difficult also to switch the speakers off everytime I want to use the headphones.

BTW, this is my new PC's specs (video in Arabic, specs in the video's details)

What can be done?

Solution
I think that you must mske the headphones the default device o ce they are plugin in the speakers should mute. Right click on your speaker icon right lower side click properties look in here.

Thanks man, but sorry I am not sure I understood you.
There is no option to make the speakers mute when headpohnes are connected. I assume the PC can't know what is plugged in, a headphone or speakers.

First do you have a sound icon down on the right next to the clock? Click on it to control the volume. This icon you right click with the mouse and select properties or settings. In the window. Watch this video it will help.
