Hello. I have a MINOR issue, maybe someone knows how to fix it.

I have video clips that i have associated with VLC. When i look at the folder containing the clips i see the VLC icon. Is there a way to change it so the icons display an image of the video on the icon?

Thanks.

I've tried adjusting the view settings and I even downloaded the media feature pack. It used to show the icons until i did a clean windows install. I delete the iconcache.db file and rebooting. No joy!

Hi williamjeremiah. I'm back. Ok while k-lite KIND of worked it's not exactly what i was looking for. Essentially what i need is for the thumbnail to show the opening shot of the video file. K-lite just shows random images. I need it for reference purposes.

I don't know how customizable the thumbnail images are. All I remember during my last install of Windows was that I used a combination of Icaros and Sage Thumbs to enable preview thumbnails of both images and video files.
The video thumbnails do show an image of the first frame though.

I'm also using startallback (https://www.startallback.com) for the customization of windows explorer, the task bar and start menu
