My room in which my pc is in is connected to my bathroom and shower. They are separated by a door but that is it. Could the cloud of moisture after I take a shower move into my room and damage my Pc. There is no fan In the bathroom and this is in a basement that usually is not humid, but the shower does create a lot of water vapor. Will opening the door on the other side of the bathroom, which leads to an open area of the basement, help this? Note there is no visible water vapor in my room but there is in the bathroom so i assume at least some water vapor goes into my room. Thank you please help
PS sorry for bad english

Solution

Condensation forms on the coldest surfaces saturated air encounters and the computer case should be the thing that cools down fastest when the computer is shut down since it has direct contact with ambient air. If there is no condensation on the chassis, then there shouldn't be any inside.

Also, when the PC is off, the fans are off too, which means there won't be much saturated air getting inside.

Could damage already be done? how can I tell.

So what you are saying is that my pc is safe? what if I leave it shut down when not in use?

How can I tell if this is happening to my pc I don't see any corrosion and it has never shorted out

Ok lets say I leave my rooms door open the other bathroom door open that leads to the open area of the basement and shut the door leading to my room from the bathroom will i be ok? I am in Colorado so may basement is usually dry
