I got Windows 8 installed in laptop which was partitioned as 909gb as one drive and rest in the other.
I tried a third party tool, AOMEI to do the shrinking and partitioning of the disk into 3 drives, without formatting. It’s been more than 18 hours since the process is going on and now I am getting worried whether something has gone wrong.

Any suggestions will be helpful.

Prefer to use EaseUs

But if you can't escape from the other program to run Windows, there is a bootable version

You'd need another machine to create a disk, obviously...

Could try. Probably lost your Recovery Partition in the process of partitioning though. Without checking your Manual, F11 should work at power on..

If F11 brings no joy, next option would be to try to recover your Partitions with EasUS, whatever you try you'll need another PC to create bootable media. If you have access to your Product Key, i.e. it's on the base of your Laptop, then you could download Windows 8 ISO from here

and burn to disk or create bootable USB. Having re-installed Windows go to HP website to d'load drivers.
