Shut down problem windows 7

i was just update my window 7 n i want 2 restart the window back...but my notebook didnt turn of..it just show the desktop

Shut down the laptop with the power button, after it boots up again try to turn if off normally, did that work? A one-time hangup at a reboot or shutdown is nothing to worry about.
