Shut down right before any Windows installation, works fine with Linux

Hello, I have this problem with this old'ish pc. Everything seems to be working fine till you try to install windows on it. It had windows, but it got corrupted so I installed ubuntu and ever since I can't install windows, I've tried countless iso's and usb creation tools, swapped ram, tried different windows versions, tried with a few different flash drives, tried all kinds of fixes for old bios'es. But when I try to install any linux based os'es I get no problems. To be more specific, when I boot from the usb (with Windows) and on the part ''press any button to boot from usb'' if I press anything the pc just stops and restarts.

Have you tried installing with a single stick of DRAM? Have the latest BIOS?

Yes, I did, there doesn't seem to be an option to update the bios
