dear sir:
i've upgraded my pc system from windows 98 to windows xp, when i sutdown my
pc the following message appears"it is now safe to turn off your computer",
although my O.S. is win XP , how can i hide or control this message??

Hi,

Control Panel/Power Options, you need to enable APM. It is not enabled by
default when you upgraded, and your system is not fully ACPI compliant.
