Question Shutdown time on an SSD NVMe

Hi all, I have a very quick question. What's the average shutdown time for a PC with an SSD?

I built my own PC two weeks ago. Boot up is fast, performance is great. I'm quite happy overall. The only thing is the shutdown. Ok, I'm very fussy, but it used to take something around 1-2 secs on the first week and it's now taking longer already. Not a lot, maybe something around 10 secs, sometimes more. I'm just scared I might have done something wrong with the settings though. The only thing I can think of is I turned off hibernate mode. And did some clean up with an app, but I didn't touch the registry.

My boot drive is a Samsung SSD Evo Plus, only 16% used.

Is that weird or am I just super paranoid?

Shutdown time is dictated by the OS, not the drive.
Your system was 'new'. Now, you have a lot of other applications installed and running. The OS takes a few seconds to clean up and turn those things off.

Thanks for your clarification. I thought shutdown time was also dictated by the drive. My bad!

First PC? as time goes by, you install more and more "stuff" boot time and shutdown times will lengthen and perfectly normal. Now it shouldn't take 10 minutes, but otherwise don't obsess about it.
