Hi, thank you guys so much for helping me!

I just installed linux mint mate 18.3 sylvia to a brand new self assembled desktop pc

I want to know shut down the computer, I was thinking there is an easy option because I thought linux mint is similar to windows but I do not see any options to shut down the computer

Could you guys please tell me what are my options to shut down my computer? I am totally new to linux so the simplest solution will be appreciated.

Thank you guys so much for helping me with this puzzle of how to shut down the desktop pc in linux mint mate 18.3

Edit: Wrong distro version, sorry. See below:

Top left, that's where I believe your start menu may be, and it's labelled as "quit". Usually for Mint you'll be looking around for an icon (with or without labelling depending on the flavour of distribution you choose, Mate, KDE, Cinnamon, etc.) that is the power icon. At any rate, it will be located in the left hand side of the menu.
