Hey guys, I just recently put together my system. After i installed everything and turned it on, Everything is fine for 10-15 seconds. I Notice that it doesnt power up mouse, keyboard, And give a signal to monitor. So is there a reason this is happening? And is it defective?

My specs:

Evga 790i FTW edition
Core 2 Quad @ 2.66 Ghz(soon to be overclocked to 3.2)
2x2 4GB Intel extreme 1600mhz
Xfx 260 gtx black edition in SLI
Thermaltake V1 AX(Cpu fan)
4 80mm Fans(2 With led lights)
1000 watt Ultra x3
80 GB HDD

Also i have an old case: Antec Plusview ll But everything fits in.

Thanks in advance :(

have you removed the cover from the battery?
mine came with a piece of thin card that stopped the battery from draining while in stock(i presume)
check the battery doesnt have anything on it like that

You mean the little 2032 battery that's about the size of a quarter?

It's very rare for one of those batteries to be bad right out of the box, but it is possible. Replace it.
Clear the CMOS, then try again.
