shuttle ak35gts won't post abot 1.8 with xp 3000+

Hi, I installed the new bios, wich should let me use the xp 3000+
chip, biut the board will not go above 144 clock speed,( 1.8 ) 153 is
xp 3000+ it will boot, @ that speed but windows won't load I get
protection fault message.
The computer will freeze and give me blue screens at 145 and above
..

Well, perhaps the BIOS has been upgraded and your 3000+ is installed....but
have you upgraded the memory to match the new front side bus (FSB) speeds
you're attempting to reach? If not, you've identified your problem.

The 3000+ FSB runs at 166mhz. This requires memory that runs at or above
this speed. So DDR 2700 or 3200 should be used.

Thanks for the reply , I am running ddr 2700
I am open to any other thoughts
