I posted in the CPU section before, trying to solve this problem.
My MB and power supply fried a little while back, and i bought a new case with PS and a new ABIT NF7-S2 Mobo. Other specs of things carried over:
AMD 2200+
512 DDR 2100
100GB HD
windows XP pro.
ATI RADEON 7500 AGP 4X
modem
non-working USB keyboard
Cyber Acoustics 3 piece sound.
The computer crashes with a beeeeBEEEEEPbeeeeBEEEEEPbee.... every time i load up Warhammer 40,000 Dawn of War. WarcarftIII has no problem running all day long. Warhammer will get past the initial intro and then crash. If i then reboot, and try warcraft, it too will crash. If i reboot a third time, warIII will play fine. And by crash, i mean everything turns off and i get that terrible beeeeBEEEPbeeeeeBEEEEEPbeeeeBEEEEP....
PS. Thanks to all that helped me get my computer up to the 1800mhz it should be!

WEll, the game itself is running in 16 bit mode. I'm having a slight problem with refresh rates too. It works pretty good at about 70hz. Maybe i'll try to get a hold of a better card and see if it works. Drivers first i think though.

Negative.
Never reaches 120 F.
Shutoff is disabled at the moment.
I monitor it closely.
It will start beeping at 151 F., not shut off.
So overheating should not cause it all to turn off.
However, I did have problems getting my computer to run at full speed and had to turn the voltage up to 1.72 volts in order for it to run stable at 1800mhz (std speed for a 2200+) and maybe the game just requires that little bit extra. However, i was told not to turn it above 1.8

Servicepacks do many things but I don't think upgrading would solve your problem. However, you can always try, just make sure you create a restore point to get everything back to normal if it doesn't work out the way you like.

I put it in 16 bit mode but the game is in 32 bit (according to the settings) and it crashed, but after awhile longer. I got into the settings and got to change a couple of things before it died, but still not into the actual GAME!!!
However, i may be on the right track here.

beep beep beep is RAM long constant beep is CPU. In most cases a computer that fails constantly with different error messages is the Memory stick.

Replace the memory stick and try again. If as you say its one long BEEEEP then your cpu clock settings in the BIOS are probably set to default and need to be set correctly for clock speed or the CPU it's self is bad.

Windows, service pack 2 has "new generic agp drivers" They replace any that are installed on your system. They are pretty much based on Intel's idea of agp drivers. If you have an intel chipset, they work fine. On the other hand, they tend to make nforce and via chipset boards a little flakey at 3D. After installing SP2, you can just re-install the gart (agp) drivers, and then the cats (catalyst) or detonators. Hope that cleared up any confusion.

It's a loud and then soft, but constant beep. Not intermittent, and not a constant drone.
I plan on buying some DDR 400 or 333 soon in hopes of upgrading some day. Probably 333 due to prices.
I guess i'll surf over to the memory board and do some research on all of that now too...
