Hi,
I'm growing very, very bored on Europa - PvM's not much of a challenge any
more, Doom's getting to the 'been there, done that' stage, and I can't
understand a word the guys in Fel are saying. Also, there's nothing much to
gain from PvP anymore - kill someone, maybe get a few regs, or very low end
gear - most people even insure their boots these days. It's nearly as bad as
playing on the test shard - want artifacts, or great gear - go buy it in
real life.
I was thinking of starting over on Siege - can anyone who has been there for
a while tell me what it's like? A few questions that come to mind are:
Is WBB crawling with banksitters, are there PKs everywhere, and do all reds
sp33k lik3 th1s d00d? More importantly, what's training like there? Any
differences? How long would it take to, say, GM Chivalry or fencing? I see
that all of the online 'we will train your character' sites, and most of the
auction sites avoid siege like the plague, so hopefully that means more
chance of a level playing field - or am I being too optimistic?
One of the big things that appeals to me is that I was told there's no
insurance, and not much chance of blessing anything - which makes it more of
a challenge - there's more to lose, and more to gain - is this true?
Lastly, I'm hoping to find a REAL role playing community, or even just a few
guilds - Europa-Fel's Yew-based squatter camp has moved so far away from
that, it's just not funny!
'Hail, noble knight!'
'wow d00d, that's some c00l l33t kick-a$$ sword you got there. Wanna sell
it?'
'Nay, but prithee, which way lies the nearest tavern?'
'I 0wnZ y00 - gimmie that sword!'
You see the body of a dead Fel moron... Okay, that's slightly funny, but
still...
Anything better on Siege?
I know I could just create a character there, and run around a lot (probably
in ghost form after the first 10 minutes), but a newbie doesn't really get
to get a real feel for a shard until they've played it for a month or more.
I'm looking for opinions from people who do play there, and people who have
spent more than a month there, and then left. Can someone give me the
Readers Digest version?
Thanks!
